Focused technology intervention leads to corrected pricing and annual recovery of over £5m in fees

Problem

The client had discovered that it was having issues in correctly pricing and therefore charging deals and as a result was having a high number of disputes with customers. This was resulting in an erosion of margin and significant underperformance of the business area.

Approach

A 6-month project which encompassed both design and development of a user interface and background functionality to address the issue of correct pricing and charging of deals. This involved a web based user interface supported by pricing tables which were configurable via the interface. The user interface allowed staff to enter details of the deals and ensure the client was ultimately charged the correct fees.

Outcome

The tool enabled the business to rectify the issue and reduced the customer disputes dramatically which led to an annual recovery of over £5m in fees.
